Just had smart lipo/laser on my neck 2 days ago. The surgery went great and I feel great. Then now my smile is totally crooked and one side droops down when I smile and the other side does not move. I am talking a littl weird too! I am freaking out! Is this permanent or will it go away soon? Could I still be numb, I don't feel numb? Please tell me this is normal for the first few days?? Thank you!

Should be temporary in most cases.  It depends upon the area treated, numbing fluid, etc your surgeon used.Close follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended.

Most probably this is caused by inflammation of the marginal branch of the facial nerve. It can happen after liposuction. Please consult with your surgeon for treatment. It most probably will resolve with time. Keep us posted.Hope this helps,Dr. Gus Diaz

It appears that you have weakness of you right marginal mandibular ranch of your facial nerve 2 days after Smart Liposuction. Liposuction of the neck can cause some facial nerve weakness which results in the lip not being able to pull downward. Often this is temporary and improves with some time.  Best to follow closely with your surgeon.

This is quite common after liposuction of the chin. It is caused by inflammation of the marginal mandibular nerve on one side. Best to let all the swelling and inflammation resolve and see how it looks. This takes 3 to 6 months. You can put some Botox on the other side to even it out while you wait. Good luck.
