1 month post-op: the top of my head still feels hard and numb after forehead contouring and hairline lowering

Nick95707,       Both numbness and hardness are fairly common after this time of procedure. The nerves that supply the top of the head come from just above the eye, and can be stretched or injured during the procedure.  They usually come back, but timing is unpredictable. Up to 6 months would not be surprising.  As for the hardness, it would be best to check with your surgeon. It may very well be scar tissue but some certain sutures or other devices can create a hardness in the area.  If it is scar, it will likely soften with time, and sometimes steroids can help this process.  Good luck.

After a surgery, the skin is undergoing considerable changes that you can not see. Over time, these changes complete and the healing process may take a full 90 days as that is the normal total healing time
