Should I get a revision rhinoplasty or not worth it? (photo)

At two years postoperative, the "bump" that you see is not likely to improve on it's own. While the hump is subtle, removing it would likely require osteotomies (re-breaking the bones) which means you would need surgery as opposed to a non-invasive treatment. Whether open technique or closed technique is used, this would still be a rhinoplasty operation and would require similar healing time to your first operation. 

Answering the question of whether you should do a revision rhinoplasty or not is one that only the patient can answer.  It really depends on how much the problem bothers you.  Based on the photos, I think that the issue could be addressed through a closed approach with minimal swelling and recovery.  Talk to your surgeon and find out options.  Good luck!P. When considering doing revisionary surgery, several things come to mind.  First, how much does the "problem" bother the patient.  Second, how easy is it to revise the results.  Third, how likely is the patient going to be happy with the revision given that everything goes as planned.  I am fond of the quote "the enemy of good is better!"  That being said, revision rates for rhinoplasty even in the best of hands is 5-10%.All the Best,Brian Reagan MD, Changes Plastic Surgery

Only you the patient can answer the question if it's worth  it or not. Don't let anybody else talk you into surgery. It really depends on how much  the nasal hump is bothering you. The hump itself is composed of both bone and cartilage and must be shaved down in order to remove it.  When removing the hump, sometimes osteotomies of the nasal bones are required to close in the open roof, flat top nose deformity created from the hump removal. Only you can decide if a revision is worth it. If you were my patient I'd encourage you to correct the problem; it is unlikely that this will be worse. I need to examine you to advise re the need to do osteotomies.
