Is it normal to be able to feel the edge of the implant in the breast crease?

It is sometimes possible to feel the edge of an implant and I have noticed that the Inspira envelope may make this a bit more likely. However, what you feel it two months may be different from what you feel at five months. As the healing processes progress through the first six months of postoperative time, but tissues around the implant often loosen and make it more difficult to feel the edge of the implant in some cases.It would be wise to give it more time and discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. He or she may advise massage or other techniques to help speed up the softening of the implant.

There is no muscle coverage over the bottom and outside part of the breasts, so as swelling goes down it is normal to be able to feel the implants. Weight loss can make it more detectable.

Hello-As swelling goes down after breast augmentation and the implant settles, it is common to be able to feel the edge of the implant a bit. The implant is only under breast tissue in the lower part of the breast (even if the implant is "under the muscle", the muscle only covers the upper part of the implant) so there is less coverage here than up top -  particularly on the lower outer part of the breast.
