6 months post neck lift - Can anything be done to help minimize swelling under the chin? (photos)

I had a necklift in August of 2022. I still have swelling. My dr says it could take a year but I am getting impatient. What can be one about the swelling under my chin area?

If you had a submandibular salivary gland reduction, you may have a complication called a sialocele. Saliva is a very inflammatory fluid that causes soft tissue damage and swelling. Time is usually the best treatment. An ultrasound can be determine if ongoing fluid is present in a large enough volume to aspirate (remove with a needle). Ultrasound guided Botox treatment of the gland can help reduce saliva production. And there are some medications that reduce saliva production as well.
