Can somebody please tell me what happened? I had Kybella done a few years ago and the results were not great. I went in for a consult to try to address the small pooch under my chin. My surgeon recommended that I have a neck lift done, the results immediately following my surgery were amazing (just the next day) weeks and months after my pooch is even more prominent especially now that I have a scar that is being pushed out. Can anybody recommend anything that might help? Is it scar tissue?

Answer: Fullness Under the Neck Hello! I see what you're referring to. It's hard to say if it's still swelling or residual fat or skin left. A good option would be steroid injection to the area with compression / massaging. If that doesn't work, Morpheus8 RF microneedling would be another choice. This can help to tone the skin in the area with little downtime. I would revisit with your surgeon to figure out what may be best before considering anything like a revision. Hope this is useful to you!

Answer: Possible subplatysmal contents In your neck lift, we’ll assume you had liposuction done. If this is scar tissue, you should wait 6 months for it to settle. If it still persists, many neck lifts do not address subplatysmal contents so it could be a number of things such as scar tissue from kybella, fat, gastric muscle, even salivary gland. People don’t realize that kybella creates scar tissue which makes subsequent surgery more difficult.
