Yes, you may get Botox injections a few days prior to hairline hair transplant.  The Botox targets the muscles of facial expression (for example the frontalis muscle for forehead wrinkles), which has no bearing on healing for hair transplant surgery.  Avoid rubbing the area of Botox on the day of injection, but there are no restrictions a few days after.

Hello, thank you for your question. My recommendation for getting Botox before hair transplant is to get it a couple days before the procedure. This way the inflammation caused by the hair transplant will not affect your Botox as the medicine penetrates the muscles within one day. Hope this helps, Dr. S. 

I would recommend at least 24 hours in between the Botox injections and hair transplant.  There should be no problems with getting them within several days of each other. 

There should be no problem getting Botox a few days before getting a hair transplant but as always be sure to let your surgeon know that you have had it done

You can certainly have Botox prior to the hair transplant you have scheduled. I wouldn't do it on the same day, but as you mentioned it's a few days apart. Good luck, Dr. M

Hi PLeaves, You may wish to have your Botox done after the swelling from your FUT hair transplant subsides or have it in the next few days. This way, it's really stable and you can see the full effects of the Botox prior to the transplant.All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
