Can Botox be used to raise the bottom lip and cover bottom teeth? (photo)

My bottom teeth show when I talk and even tho there are tons of lip lift advice, not much advice for lifting the bottom lip. Can botox do it? Is there surgical procedures that can lift it, without lifting the top lip?

Botox can be used in the lower lip area to weaken the depressor muscles and the lower lip may rise up.Need to start with very small amounts so it does not affect your speech and leaking fluid while drinking. No long term side effects but could be uncomfortable for a few month.

In some cases, overactive lip depressors, or dental issues can cause this look. Botox can be used to weaken the lip depressors, which then lets the lip elevator muscles lift the lip .

I would encourage you to begin by visiting an expert injector near you for an evaluation.  It needs to be determined what is causing your lip to be dropping in order to determine the appropriate treatment.  You are correct that Botox is often used to help improve a "gummy smile".
