3 weeks post op BL & 500cc silicone implants placed med+profile, dual plane it looks as tho my LB is significantly bigger then right. Yes I had this issue prior to surgery. The point was to correct it, make them the same size. Is the bottom of the left breast bigger due to swelling? Will they be the same size? If a revision is required after 6 months, what will my PS do? I don't want to make the left one even smaller, will he put a bigger implant in the right breast?
Answer: At 3 Weeks Post-Op, Hard to Say This is still early on in your healing process, so swelling is still present. Looking at your pre-op photo, the left side requires a more extensive lift than the right. A larger implant should be placed on the right to try to correct this issue. However, going larger than 500cc can put a large amount of stress on the structures of the chest. I suggest to wait until 6 months post-op to properly evaluate your results. In the meantime, you can try using an upper pull bandeau to try to even them out.

Answer: Revision Based on your preoperative photos , your left breast was bigger than the right . The implants used were the same size size fur both breasts so this would not correct the asymmetry you had prior to surgery. So you shouldn't be surprised. In fact , any size discrepancy would be accentuated once implants are placed . This should have been discussed with you at the time of consultation and is present in your consents prior to surgery .At this point you are very early in your postoperative period and should wait to see how your implants settle. If you are still unhappy, then a larger implant will be necessary to match the size of the other breast. You still must understand that both breasts will not be identical. There will always be a difference between the two.
