How can alar flaring be increased?

I know that alar flaring is often reduced rather than augmented in rhinoplasty but what can be done to actually intensify alar flaring? I like the look of very prominent nostrils and a pronounced base, so what can be done to achieve this?

Cartilage grafts, usually taken from septum or, less frequently, from ear, can help to shape allar rim. If placed very low in the area of lobulus, they may create widening of the nostrils. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon known for expertise in nose surgery, is recommended.

Making smaller is sissy’s easier than making bigger. To do what you propose is possible but would involve the addition of skin through local flaps. I wouldn’t recommend it
