Thank you very much for the question.Postoperative care after a Tummy Tuck are very important to get the best results. To avoid damaging the muscle repair, you have to avoid any activity to increase the intra-abdominal pressure, that's mans, avoid efforts like carry much weight or becoming constipated.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes
Sewing the muscles together in the midline of the abdomenduring a tummy tuck (also known as rectus plication) is a powerful procedure andcan be associated with dramatic improvements in body contour. The repair can actlike an internal corset, flattening the abdomen and eliminating bulges that canbe seen after pregnancy and weight loss. Excessive stress on the muscle repaircan promote its failure after the procedure. Either the stitches used to performthe repair can break, or the stitches can tear through the tissues- both eventscan affect the ultimate result. It is important to refrain from strenuous activityand heavy lifting for 6-8 weeks after tummy tuck procedurs to decrease the chance forfailure of the muscle repair. Good luck. Best regards.
Sure but why would you? It sounds like you are well informed as to what your surgeon did to correct your fascial defect. Be patient with your recovery. It will pay off in the long run.
As long as you follow the instructions of your PS, then it would be very difficult to cause damage to your muscle repair. But anything is always a possibility, so make sure you are not doing anything your not suppose to.

I do usually recomend normal bath from 15 to 20 days after surgery,...giving the advice to do the first "showers" with some "sterilized" water, like the one in the drinking water jugs. But submerge into the jacuzzi will be better tomdomit after the 6th week post op.Dr. Carrasco
It looks like you have some fat necrosis in your incision. Unfortunately, this is a problem that happens from time to time. Your incision will likely open some more and your surgeon will do bedside wound care to help keep the wound clean. This will take several weeks with dressing changes to...
