I am 19 days Post po. after my last drain was pulled on day 14 @ less than 30cc, I went back two days later with incision draining fluid and tissue whiteish and gooey in those areas. Dr drained 37cc from stomach, said nothing looked infected, however put me on 5 day antibiotic to be safe. I was told to wash area 1-2x per day with antibacterial soap and cover with it. Why is this happening, does it look normal, how long will it take to heal?

Answer: Tummy Tuck incision split with drainage and white tissue
The exact age of a surgical patient is not as important as their overall health. An active woman with no medical problems can be a better candidate for such a surgical procedure than someone half her age with multiple poorly controlled medical issues. Since this is an elective "unnecessary"...
Thanks for your question.Clindamycin is commonly prescribed as a post-operative antibiotic for patients with a penicillin allergy. I hope this helps!Dr. JSB
At
this point in your recovery, it is much too soon to be worried about the
outcome. It takes time for the swelling to resolve. It may be 6
months or more before the shape has reached its final look. Be patient. Watch your physical
activity. Everyone is different.
