I recommend massage, not necessarily ultrasound. I don't recommend any massage in the area of tummy tuck because it can lead to seroma formation. The liposuction area should be massaged.Best wishes,Dr. JSB
Some surgeons are enthusiastic about the benefits of ultrasonic treatments and massage after surgery, but the evidence is strictly anecdotal, and most surgeons to not use it as a routine part of their postoperative care. I would not object to a patient utilizing these treatments, but I would check with your surgeon.
There is no evidence that ultrasound or massage improves results after liposuction. You should discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
I do recommend my patients to do hand massage on areas that were liposuctioned but I do not think it is important to do the ultrasound massage. Best to ask your PS and follow the advice given as everybody is different.

I do usually recomend normal bath from 15 to 20 days after surgery,...giving the advice to do the first "showers" with some "sterilized" water, like the one in the drinking water jugs. But submerge into the jacuzzi will be better tomdomit after the 6th week post op.Dr. Carrasco
