Question

I am 3 weeks post op my surgeon was from MX and I don't feel comfortable consulting with him any longer, I am looking to gain any insight, I am still wearing my band daily and I am unsure if I should do massages or not. I am 5'4 and 150 pounds I had a size 34A cup prior to surgery, again I am only 3 weeks post op however any information would be appreciated, I am located in the Minnesota area if there are any local Doctors who would be willing to help me as well.

your question.I would recommend that you contact your surgeon with these questions.  Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you are healing at this time.  If you are no longer comfortable speaking with your surgeon, I would recommend that you ask him/her to refer you to someone locally to manage your post operative care.

The best way
to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.

Your plastic surgeon will always be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, advice, predictions, and/or meaningful reassurance.Generally speaking, breast implants will "drop" into the pocket that was created during surgery and massaging the implants downward may assist in the dropping of the implants after surgery (for those patients who want to help with the settling of the implants). The rate of breast implant "settling" may depend on factors such as size of breast implant pocket dissected, tightness of the overlying skin/muscle layers, and size of breast implant utilized.

Normally, it takes about 3-6 months (for some patients longer) to see the final result. It is very common for one side to settle faster than the other.
Again, best to follow your plastic surgeon for more specifics. The attached link, dedicated to "larger" breast augmentation surgery concerns may be helpful. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be pleased with long-term.
