I bowhunt with a compound bow that has a 60lb draw weight and 80% let off. I target practice regularly throughout the year. Will this activity compromise the implant placement after I've fully healed? I will be getting 425cc HP silicone under the muscle via axillary incision.
Answer: Archery & Aug Hi,Thanks for your question. As long as you follow the activity restrictions outlined by your plastic surgeon during healing, you should have no problem resuming your sport.

Answer: Breast Augmentation/Breast Implants/Anatomic Gummy Bear Implants/ Silicone Implants/Breast Implant Revision I appreciate your question. Typically, my guideline is, the first week is the hardest. By the second week you feel better, at four weeks you feel 100% and at six weeks you can go back to complete normal routines and exercising. Four days after surgery, I would be careful as you are still at risk for bleeding. If you are taking any pain medication, I would not drink alcohol. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery. Best of luck! Answer: Will I be able to do archery after I've properly healed from breast augmentation? Hi there, Thank you for your question. After you are completely healed you should be able to continue with all regular activities. We ask that our patients avoid activities for 6 weeks. If you are concerned speak with your surgeon. Best, realdrsix (Dr. Jugenburg)

Answer: Will I be able to do archery after I've properly healed from breast augmentation? Thank you for the question. In the long-term patients who undergo breast augmentation surgery (barring any complications) should be able to return to all activities with full strength. Timing to return to specific types of exercise will vary from one patient to another. Best to check with your plastic surgeon for specific advice. Generally, I suggest patients gradually ease back into the strenuous aerobic exercise 4 to 6 weeks postoperatively, assuming that they are doing well and there have been no complications. Lower body exercise can generally be resumed 2 weeks postoperatively. Use common sense, listen to your body, and gradually resume previous activity. In my practice, I ask patients to avoid contact and strenuous exercise involving the pectoralis major muscles ( such as push-ups, bench press, burpees, dancing on a pole…) for at least 3-6 months. You may find the attached link/video helpful to you. Best wishes.

Answer: Activity after Breast Aug I recommend reviewing your activity plans with your plastic surgeon to ensure she/he clears you based on the progress of your healing, however, generally you can return to regular activities after about 6 weeks.
