O how many syringes of fillers are used to treat nasolabial folds for an average 40 year old woman? Here is my photo- one side is just looks bumpy and wierd to me. I just noticed that in the past year or so. I have always had a thin and narrow face so maybe it is due to a loss of volume in my face What would be the best filler to treat this and how many syringes should I opt for as I really would like to be conservative and remain as natural looking as possible. Thank you!!!!!!
Answer: Dermal filler Hi @Stella721! I would recommend starting with 1 syringe and going from there. Restylane Defyne and Refyne work great to treat the NLF. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Improving Nasolabial Folds - Lasers like Fraxel/Clear + Brilliant, RF like VIVA, Peels, Fillers, Skin Care, Face Lift, Fat A combination approach will give the most improvement. I recommend fillers for the folds themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, rf treatments, J Plasma and peels to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert. Answer: Nasolabial folds Although your photo does not include your upper face, there is a hint of a shadowing on the right which could suggest indeed a volume loss. If so, then I would suggest addressing your upper part along the cheek area which could provide additional benefit by partially lifting your nano-labial folds. The nano-labial folds are the most commonly injected areas even though they contribute very little to the overall facial aesthetics. Only a very particular issues warrant injection of fillers in the nano-labial folds. How much filler? Start slow! Try 1 syringe first and look at the results. You may add much more if need. What matters is your perception of the changes and the degree of correction. And, by all means, aim at the natural look! Good luck!

Answer: Naso-labial folds Thanks for your question. Usually the reason for developing folds here is (as you say) because of volume loss in the cheeks, so it makes most sense to correct this first if indicated - not only will this give an overall more pleasing aesthetic result, but it should result in seeing an improvement in the naso-labial folds themselves. I'm all for being conservative - even with 1ml of a filler such as Voluma you would expect to see a good improvement, but you may well find a second syringe will improve the result further. If you want to take it slowly I would consider a light initial treatment. Because the results tend to last around one year even if you don't have any more treatment for another 6 months you could still build on the initial result. I hope that makes sense. Best wishes,
