I lost a good amount of weight recently. My heaviest was 225 (while pregnant) and I'm 140 now, 5'5", 30yo, med-lrg body frame and had 2 c-sections (2014, 2016). I am still losing weight but have always had a fatty mons pubis (even when I was very thin). If I decide to get liposuction for the mons pubis what is an estimated cost? Will I have to have it again if I gain any weight (thyroid disease)? Will liposuction be enough for me?

Answer: Abdominoplasty & Mons Pubis Reduction Hello. According to the photo you sent, it appears that you would benefit from an Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) rather than just a pubis lift. It is very important to be at your ideal body weight before considering any surgeries as well as your weight being stable. The reason that I state you could benefit from a tummy tuck is because of the lose skin that appears on the photo. After having children most patients also have a muscle separation which can be repaired this is called rectus diastasis. Liposuction may also be performed at this time to help flatten the mons area on top of a small lift. I hope this helps & thank you for your question. Best of luck!

Answer: Mons Reduction Based on your pictures, you may need more than just liposuction of the mons area. It appears that the tissues are loose and sag a little bit as well. You may need to remove some excess skin in the lower abdomen region to help pull up and tighten the mons ( it has a tendency to fall with weight gain/ loss). The best thing to do is to go for a consultation or two and get an idea of what will work best. You are more than welcome to come for a consultation here as well. I hope this helps.
