The answer to this depends on your surgeon. I personallyencourage patients to shower either the day of or the following day after theirprocedure. I feel it is safe and appropriate to shower even with drains inplace. However do follow your particular surgeons suggestions.
I recommend following up with your Doctor about their protocol for showering after your procedure. It's usually a few days. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding lymphatic massage and hyperbaric oxygen along with your compression to reduce swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the appearance of cellulite. Best, Dr. Emer
I prefer to have my patients wait at least three days before showering so that the incisions have an opportunity to heal.
Depending on the procedure, there's not much reason after 48 hours to limit showering after surgery in most instances if you look at the medical literature. Some surgeons tell patients no showers until drains are out, but there's no evidence for that practice. Soaking an incision (in a tub, pool, or hot tub) is a different story and is usually prohibited for several weeks

It’s best to ask your plastic surgeon for his or her recommendations regarding when it’s safe to resume your regular exercise routine. That said, your question is a great one, since it’s important to allow yourself to recuperate sufficiently before doing anything strenuous. In general, most ...
This should not be a problem. Even with sickle cell anemia liposuction could be performed safely with the necessary precautions of hydration and oxygenation.
Thank you for your question. I like to use ultrasonic assisted liposuction (I've lectured on the technique nationally and internationally) with the SAFE technique. This "melts" the fat. The fat comes out with very little blood. It looks like a banana smoothie. When performing this technique...
Thank you very much for your question and photographs. At three months’ post-op, it is still too early to assess the full benefits of your liposuction procedure. It will take up to six months for residual swelling to resolve and the tissues fully heal. However, if you have any further q...
