Mini Facelift with old (8 or more years) existing contour threads?

I have done plenty of facelifts in those with previous thread lifts and they have never caused a problem. If I find them I simply remove them

It should be a part of your face lift procedure to try to remove all permanent treads and correct deformity they produce, if any. In some case fat grafting of the dimples and irregularities associated with tread removal may be considered. This should be discussed with your surgeon ahead of time. Good luck.

In our practice for over 30 years, we have removed many these contour threads when performing a facelift procedure. Most experienced facelift surgeons have dealt with the same issue. Removing the threads should not create any nerve damage, since nerve damage would usually be caused by placement when putting them in, not when removing them
