I have asymmetrical eyelids. My left eyelid. My left eyelid is bigger than my right. I am looking to permanently fix this. How difficult would this be and what are the chances of it being unsuccessful?
Answer: Droopy upper lid You have ptosis of your left upper eyelid. This causes the lids to look asymmetric and increases the tarsal platform show on the droopy side. This can be fixed surgically by tightening the muscle of the lid that is too low. Best to see an eyelid expert.

Answer: Levator dehiscence It appears your levator aponeurosis is slightly dehisced on one side causing the eye to appear smaller. This is corrected with an upper eyelid blepharoplasty. There is more swelling to this procedure since the dissection is deeper to correct this.

Answer: Eyelid Asymmetry Hi and thank you for your question. I do not think there is an easy way to fix your issue as what the true issue is seems to be hypoglobus- where your left eye is lower than the right. Sometimes this can indicate asymmetrical growth of your facial bones in development. Sometimes this can be from a broken bone - what is called an orbital floor fracture. Other times, this can be a sign of something exerting pressure on the eye- a pushing from above can be found rarely in older patients with growths in their orbit, and also rarely something can create negative pressure under the eye pulling it downwards (aka silent sinus syndrome: if you happen to also have a blockage in your sinus drainage pathway causing negative pressure in your maxillary sinus). The only way to change the position of your eye and thus, your eyelid, would be to change the orbital floor which has a chance of affecting your vision. Typically this kind of surgery is only done if someone has double vision due to their eye being lower on one side, or if the cause is from a recent trauma resulting in an orbital floor fracture. Overall, if this is something that has been present for a long time and you don't have the issues mentioned above, doing any surgery to correct it would not be worth the risk to your vision.

Answer: I suggest mid-face implants & cat eye & ptosis surgeries to you! Hello. If you take a puzzle view, a photo from the bottom and look very carefully, you will see that your small eye is not just the eye, your whole mid-face and forehead area is small. There is a skeletal abnormality here, so it is not only about the eye, there is not much that can be done to your small side. You have ptosis in your eyelids. At the same time your eyebrows are asymmetrical and your maxilla bone and frontal bone are hypoplasic on one side. I suggest you to have implants, mid-face implants, cat eye and ptosis surgeries. I’m the only triple board-certified facial plastic surgeon all around Europe. I’m just focused on this issue. I am a doctor who goes to almost every country in the world and explains my techniques to important doctors with the seminar invitations I receive, so I am definitely the only doctor who can perform your operation very comfortably and successfully. You can get more detailed information about me, ask all questions about your case and sending your photos to my assistants at the number on my profile (+90 539 204 40 90). You can also book an online consultation and discuss your problems with me. With all respect.
