Does migrated lip filler ever go away? (Photo)

Question

Hello, I got 1ml ha filler on my lips this September. I think that the filler has been misplaced or migrated over the corners of my lips (cause a weird curling) and the vermilion border, especially on the left side. I visited the original doctor and 3 more. One of them said that everything is fine, the other 3 where unsure. None of them want to use dissolver on me and tell me to wait. But does migrated lip filler get absorbed? Do massages and exercise help?

Filler will slowly absorb. Exercising a lot can increase the removal faster so start running or go to the gym daily.

The longevity of the filler will depend on the filler used.  Typically HA fillers will last 6-12 months in the lips, so you should have improvement as time goes on.  You can also consider having it dissolved with hyaluronidase if it is bothersome.

Your lips look very natural. If 3 doctors told you there is nothing there, maybe it is best you find photos of your lips before the filler was injected and compare. To really know if the filler is present there or not, you can try and find a clinic who will offer ultrasound to confirm filler placement, maybe then they will dissolve it. Good news, With time filler will go away but how long no one really knows.

Without having reference pictures before having had fillers, it’s hard to make an assessment. I agree with the previous providers that at this point, it makes no sense to try to reverse the filler. I don’t believe it filler migrate. I believe that is a concept used by individuals, unwilling to be honest about less than ideal outcomes.
Personally, I think your lips look fine, but without knowing what they used to look like it’s hard to make an assessment.
