I have old stretch marks on my hips and butt area and was wondering if micro-needling would be a good option?

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Yes! Microneedling with RF such as Vivace are very helpful in improving tone and texture as well as stretch marks in different areas of the body! Whilst Microneedling with RF can be expensive, it delivers excellent results and is a bit less risky than undergoing anesthesa with surgical removal of each little stretch mark. Hope this helps!

Microneedling is a great treatment to improve the appareance of stretch marks. Adding PRP to the microneedling will give better results. You will need many sessions depending on the condition of the stretch marks. Also be aware that microneedling will make them less visible but not eliminate them completely.

Yes, microneedling with PRP is excellent to help smooth and improve the appearance of stretch marks. A series of treatments will be needed, usually 3-6 treatments spaced every 3-4 weeks.

We have seen excellent results in the treatment of stretch marks by combining monthly micro-needling treatments alternating with monthly fractionated CO2 laser treatments. They are each done at different times, so patients return to the office every 2 weeks for treatment. Both treatments are combined with application of human growth factor serums to get the best results. In my office, we use the ProCell Therapies system which combines motorized micro-needling with concentrated human growth factor serums made from human stem cells. Our patients also use ProCell Therapies growth factor serum at home after the office treatment.
