21F, thin and in good condition, excess chin runs in the family. Small (assumed) fat patch and what I would think is a weak jaw/chin. Any skin tightening or fat reduction options without reconstruction? Kybella, lipo, skintyte etc. Surgeon said it was moreso skin than fat. I'd like to improve this if possible, thank you!
Answer: Jawline Definition / Jawline Enhancement / Facial Sculpting / Facial Contouring -- injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject on the bone in strategic points to get more lift and shaping, resulting in a more contoured lower face and defined, structured jawline. I would suggest getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Young/thin with submental fat and weak jaw options? (Photo) Hello, thank you for your question. It seems like you can benefit from a chin liposuction and necktite is suited to tighten the jaw line and neck area. I recommend you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Hot is Hot You are right on that a sharp jawline and cervicomental angle is attractive. Men/woman, everyone! From your photos I would recommend starting with some chin and angle of the jawline filler/botox. The botox can allow the angles of the jaw to be more prominently seen and the chin filler will help the angle look good on frontal and side view. Ultimately an implant w or w/out submental lipo and or platysmaplasty would be the home-run in my hands.Hope this helps,Best of luck,DrC

Answer: Young and thin with submental fat and weak jaw options A full set of facial photographs are required to make a determination about how best to proceed. When there is a recessive chin profile present, consider placement of a chin implant to augment the chin forward for better facial balance and proportions. This also is slightly helps stretch the skin out in the chin area. When there are a small amount of fatty deposits in the neck, then consider liposuction for that area. Both procedures can be performed together under local anesthesia as an outpatient surgical procedure.

Answer: Treatment options Almost everybody who posts with concerns of jaw line issues or a double chin especially those who are young and not overweight do so because of the shape of their mandible. In your case your mandible does not have adequate projection at the same time has a slightly pointed shape. The lack of projection goes hand-in-hand with an upper lip the project further than the lower lip and a dental occlusal overbite. At the same time your chin has a pointed shape. If your chin was more obtuse and not pointed than a chin implant is the perfect solution in combination with Liposuction. In your case if you add chin projection you take the risk of getting a witches deformity. In a perfect world your mandible would be advanced behind your molars but this turns out to be very very difficult.Even though you’re thin Liposuction does wonders in this area and is probably the best place to start.Personally I don’t offer Kybella and believe it to be inferior to Liposuction for a multitude of reasons.A conservative Chin augmentation may be an option but be careful to not worsen the labiomental angle or getting excessive projection called a witches chin.I suggest having multiple in person consultations with experienced local Board certified plastic surgeons or facial plastic surgeons.Sometimes this type of work is also done by oral surgeons.Look for providers who mention all the above variables.Avoid providers who single out just skin or fat or just an implant. You’re a fit 21-year-old. You don’t have skin issues. You’re fat distribution is normal.Your facial appearance is based on bone structure.Liposuction works great but obviously the more fat someone has to work with the more change is possible.
