I’ve had my Gynecomastia surgery 1 year ago, the result made a quite difference in the appearance of my chest. However, my right nipple is slightly lower/looser than the left. My doctor refused to provide a revision surgery. Is it really true that nothing can be done in this case? The difference is quite clear.

I’m really sorry to read your Surgeon refused to provided a revision. 
You can get a Gynecomastia revision, the right nipple can be lifted up to get the correct distance between the right and the left nipple. Please contact a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who can help you to address this matter.

You can lift up the right areola with a skin removal around the areola. It leaves a scar there permanently. Not sure if it’s worth it. That’s a personal opinion. It can be done on the office under local.Best

Hello! Thank you for your question. I'm sorry to hear that you had that experience with your surgeon. Based on your photos, you appear to be a good candidate for a gynecomastia revision. During this surgery, the right nipple can be repositioned to match the left nipple. If you decide to pursue surgery, it’s very important that you find a surgeon you are comfortable with. you need an accurate assessment. The pictures you posted don't give enough information to give you that.  Try having pictures taken from 10 to 15 feet away with that phone pointed straight at your chest as well as true sideways pictures. If this is related to scan then your provider is correct.  One way to differentiate what represents skin and what is underlying fat and breast tissue is to put one arm up over your head and stretch your chest one side at a time. With your arm up and the skin under tension you will see what the underlying soft tissue contour is much better than with your arm in the down position. If the contour is perfect I'm both sides with the arms in a position then does most likely it's related to skin. If it shows a symmetry with the skin under tension by putting the arms up then I revision may be helpful.  For an accurate assessment you'll need an in person evaluation.  Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

i think your pictures do show a moderate asymmetry, which is best assessed in person. it should be quite possible to get this improved (never perfect!). see a board certified plastic surgeon for a second opinion.david berman md
