Cat eye look with a temple lift or a lateral canthoplasty? (photos)

Will a temple lift achieve a similar result to a lateral canthoplasty? I like the cat eye look with elongated eyebrows. But I don’t see much about canthoplasty on the internet. Will a temple lift create a cat eye look? Or does a canthoplasty address the eyebrows? I know makeup plays a part in this but it can only do so much!

Temple lift will not lift the lower eyelid or canthus; it will only lift the brows. Canthoplasty with or without lower eyelid surgery can lift the lower eyelids and canthus. There are definitely risks and limitations to each procedure. Need evaluation and discussion in consultation.

Most people with a natural and attractive Cat eye look are actually born with that look.   A temporal brow lift will elevate your brow laterally but not elevate or narrow your eye.  Canthoplasty will narrow your eye but the upward slope of the photos that you have provided may not be achieved simply by elevating the lateral canthus of the lower eyelid.

That actually look disfigured in my opinion. A canthoplasty will not accomplish this change. This generally is the result of over aggressive temple lift. Please be careful what you look for, you might just find it.

While a temporal lift done at the hairline can lift the outer eyebrow, it alone is not sufficient to create the eye look you mention. This would also need a lateral canthoplasty to raise up the outer corner of the eye as well.

The temple lift is more for the lateral brow than the eyelid canthus. The canthoplasty can change the shape of the eye. Bring photos to your consult to make sure you are describing what you would like
