Hello, I am a male looking to have a FUE transplant. I was born with this hairline, I am not receding.I actually drew a hairline to give you an idea of what i wanted and so you could have a better understanding and give me an estimated amount of grafts I would need. About how much would it cost to fill in the hairline I drew? About how many grafts do you think I would need? Does FUE only make the hair on the back of your head thin and not the hair on the top? Any info is appreciated. Thank you.

Answer: Hair transplant for hairline lowering you can do hair line lowering using hair transplant procedure. It is of utmost importance that you find a hair restoration doctor with experience to dense pack the frontal hairline to mimic the existing hair. You need to be aware that the density of the implanted hair will not be the same as the existing hair however an experienced doctor can make the illusion of the same density. Also the placement of the hair line is very important, and your doctor should have enough experience to place it where it will look natural. You may need about 2000 grafts to get good density.

Answer: Lower male hairline Grafts could work whether taken by FUE or FUT. I would think you might need up to 3500 grafts in two sessions , and one year for growth to get a thick looking result. if you are over 30, have never lost any hair in front, have no balding history in your family and have a flexible scalp and forehead, a single hairline lowering operation could give you an instant result at about half the price of grafts . There would be no linear or punctuate scars on the back of the head. If you want advancement of the temple hair, it can be done on the same operative session adding the cost of about 500-700 grafts taken from the ends of the hairline lowering incision. (No additional scars)
