Do skinnier patients have less blood loss in a BBL?

Question

I am having a BBL and I'm a petite person, 110 lbs 4'11" with a BMI of around 22. My doctor's general pre-op instructions are to take large doses of iron prior to surgery. I am a more natural-minded individual and don't like taking supplements if I don't have to. Would a skinnier patient like me have less blood loss than the average BBL patient? Do I really need to be worried that I will lose a lot of blood?

If you have anemia, your surgeon or hematologist should be able to recommend an appropriate regimen based upon the cause for the anemia. Taking iron pills and Vitamin C along with eating dark leafy veggies, liver, lentils, almonds, dried apricots, beets, and other high iron foods will also help to elevate the level.

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
