We need a little more information to give you an assessment. What has the doctor been draining from your lump? If it’s watery fluid then you may have a chronic Seroma. when the fluid collection forms after surgery it needs to be drained frequently until it no longer appears. This may require being seen in the surgeons office on a daily basis or something close to it. Once it’s been present without aggressively being managed (not draining on a frequent basis) it will encapsulate and form a chronic Seroma. To get rid of an encapsulated chronic seroma surgical excision is required with open surgery, Removing the capsule and typically placing a drain.

If what was drained was not watery fluid then the lump represents something else.
