I’m interested in rhinoplasty but I’m very scared because I have history of migraine with aura. When I was researching rhinoplasty it came to my attention that surgeons use vasoconstrictors during rhinoplasty. I also found in literature that this should be avoided in patients with vasospasm. How likely is vision loss after rhinoplasty in patients with vasospasm? And could vasoconstrictors be avoided? Thank you

Hi. Excellent question. This is called external valve collapse. If it is causing issues with breathing a rhinoplasty can help support the nasal sidewall and improve breathing. I recommend a consultation with a rhinoplasty specialist. Best of luck, Dr. Ghazizadeh
Hello! Thank you for your question.
As far as I can understand from your question the edema of thick skin goes down after about 1 to 1.5 years, but as I see, this is the last shape of your nose, so I recommend you a revision operation.
It would be better face to face consultation.
Best Regards!
