Is it normal to be scared before getting a mommy makeover? I'm starting to panic and I'm not sure if I should continue! I am a 39 year old mother of 2 children 6 and 14 years of age. At times I think to myself what if I don't make it thru surgery... But this has been something I've been wanting to do since I had my kids and got BBL done instead of the surgery I should've gotten first . I set up my appointment for surgery for September 28, 2023 that's literally 1 month a week.
Answer: Safety of Mommy Makeover Following BBL Procedures Dear 2021Changdoll, Your feelings are completely natural. Undergoing any surgical procedure can induce anxiety and second-guessing, especially when it comes to elective cosmetic procedures. It's important to acknowledge and address these feelings, and I'm here to help. Firstly, while a mommy makeover and BBL are both extensive surgeries, having undergone two BBLs in the past does not inherently make a mommy makeover more dangerous for you. Every surgical procedure has its risks, but with an experienced and board-certified plastic surgeon, these risks are minimized. To further alleviate your concerns, I want to emphasize that we prioritize patient health above all. Before undergoing any surgical procedure, we run a comprehensive set of lab tests to ensure that you are in optimal health for the surgery. These tests are designed to identify any potential health risks or contraindications for surgery. It's also crucial for you to maintain open communication with your surgeon. If you have any concerns, questions, or need reassurance, please don't hesitate to reach out. They can provide specific information tailored to your individual circumstances and guide you on the best path forward. Lastly, it's essential to reflect on the reasons you want the mommy makeover and weigh them against your concerns. If this is a procedure you've desired for years, and you're confident in the surgeon you've chosen, you're likely in good hands. However, if your fears persist, consider speaking to a counselor or therapist who specializes in pre-surgical anxiety. They can offer strategies to help you manage and cope with your feelings. Warm regards, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Surgery The risks of surgery are related to your general health and the procedure done. Since you have had two cosmetic procedures, you should do well with a third.

Answer: Mommy makeover No, it is not dangerous to have a mommy makeover if you have had 2 BBL's. I would begin with your breasts using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time or later, a tummy tuck can be done. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. After 6 months, you can undergo liposuction and fat transfers to the breasts if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Mommy makeover after having two BBL done A mommy makeover procedure can be safely performed on individuals who are otherwise in good health. It is generally considered to be a safer option compared to Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures. It is entirely normal to feel anxious before undergoing any major surgery. I strongly recommend discussing your concerns with your plastic surgeon to alleviate your concerns and ensure a successful outcome.
