I lost 65 pounds and have loose skin on my breasts, stomach (upper and lower), hips and mons pubis. I’m worried that with a tummy tuck my mons pubis will look even bigger. It bulges out with fat and loose skin. Can an extended tummy tuck, breast lift, and pubic lift all be performed at the same time? What about loose skin on inner and upper thighs?
Answer: Breast lift, Extended tummy tuck and Pubic lift "Firstly, congratulations on your weight loss – that's a significant accomplishment! Addressing your concerns, it is indeed possible to combine a breast lift, extended tummy tuck, and pubic lift in a single surgical session. This combination can improve the upper and lower body overall, especially after significant weight loss. Regarding the mons pubis, it's a valid concern. Many patients notice an improvement in the mons area after an extended tummy tuck, and the pubic lift can further enhance the results. The pubic lift might offer some degree of improvement to the loose skin on your inner and upper thighs due to the upward traction. However, for a more dramatic and targeted improvement in the thigh area, a thigh lift would be recommended."

Answer: Tummy tuck/pubic lift. With a tummy tuck, some plastic surgeons will typically also lift the mons, called a monsplasty. Loose skin on the thighs is called a Thighplasty. This procedure would typically not be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck. It would put too much stress on the skin and muscle areas between the thighs and the abdomen during healing. Physicians set time limits in regards to how long a patient is under anesthesia. That time frame would dictate how many procedures can be performed. I suggest scheduling a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to discuss treatment options.

Answer: Can you get a breast lift, extended tummy tuck and pubic lift at the same time? Thanks for your question. Yes, these three procedures can be done at the same time. That said, I generally keep it to a maximum of two procedures for optimal results. I recommend you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Make sure the surgeon you choose has extensive experience with combo procedures and clean credentials. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Breast lift extended tummy tuck and pubic lift at the same time It is wonderful that you lost 65 pounds, congratulations on your new lifestyle change. It takes hard work to get there. Many times an extended tummy tuck and breast lift can be done at the same time and a pubic lift can be added if there is enough time. This all depends on how much excess skin is there and which type of procedure is required to achieve the results you desire. In my practice this combination is possible and safe. I try to limit surgery to 5 hours with any body procedure to ensure safety even though others have said longer procedures are still safe. The pubic lift can be incorporated sometimes into the extended tummy tuck, but if not, it just depends on how long the additional scars will be to remove the excess skin and how long this will take. The only way to know is to have an exam done by a board certified plastic surgeon that performs these procedures. I recommend getting a consult to get the options.

Answer: A well-performed extended tummy tuck can include addressing the mons pubis area. Firstly, congratulations on your significant weight loss; that's a commendable achievement. Addressing your concerns, it's not uncommon for significant weight loss to result in loose skin in various areas, as you've described. In your case, combining an extended tummy tuck, breast lift, and pubic lift (mons lift) in one surgical session can be possible, depending on several factors: Overall Health: Your overall health and medical history are critical in determining your suitability for multiple procedures at once. Your surgeon will assess whether your body can safely handle the combined stress of these surgeries. Surgical Complexity: The extent of the loose skin and the complexity of each procedure will be considered. Sometimes, it's safer and more effective to stage these procedures rather than doing them all at once. Mons Pubis Concerns: A well-performed extended tummy tuck can include addressing the mons pubis area. This procedure can remove excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen and mons pubis, potentially reducing bulging. Inner and Upper Thighs: Loose skin on the inner and upper thighs might require a separate procedure, known as a thigh lift. This is typically not done in the same session as an extensive abdominoplasty and breast lift due to the length of the surgery and the recovery considerations. It's essential to have a detailed consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. They can provide a personalized plan based on your body's needs and your aesthetic goals. They will evaluate the areas of concern, discuss potential outcomes, and plan the procedures in a way that maximizes safety and effectiveness. The surgeon's priority will be to balance achieving the desired aesthetic result with ensuring your health and safety throughout the process.

Answer: Breast lift, extended tummy tuck and pubic lift at the same time? Yes, it's possible to undergo a breast lift, extended tummy tuck, and pubic lift in a single surgical session, especially if your surgeon determines that you're a suitable candidate for these combined procedures. A breast lift (mastopexy) aims to lift and reshape sagging breasts, addressing issues like drooping or loss of volume. An extended tummy tuck is a variation of the traditional tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) that involves more extensive contouring and tightening of the abdominal area, often addressing excess skin and tissue not only in the abdomen but also extending to the flanks and lower back. A pubic lift is a procedure designed to address sagging or drooping of the mons pubis, which is the area above the genital region. Combining these procedures can have advantages, such as minimizing overall recovery time and allowing for comprehensive rejuvenation of the body. However, it's crucial to consider the potential risks and challenges associated with undergoing multiple surgeries simultaneously. These may include a longer initial recovery period, increased post-operative discomfort, and a higher risk of complications compared to having each surgery separately. Before proceeding with multiple procedures at once, it's essential to have a thorough consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. They will assess your individual anatomy, medical history, and goals to determine if you're a suitable candidate for combined surgery. Your surgeon will also discuss the potential benefits, risks, and expected outcomes of having these procedures together versus staging them separately. Always prioritize your safety and well-being when considering cosmetic surgeries, and ensure you fully understand the implications of combining multiple procedures before making a decision.
