I’m wondering if a crescent lift would be an option for me. I have minimal sagging, but the sagging isn’t something I necessarily want to change. I would say my boobs are pretty full. My nipples are more downward and I would like them to be just the tiniest bit lifted to see more under boob. I would say just an inch. Is this something that could be achieved with a crescent lift? I would like minimum scarring and no change in size to the nipple
Answer: Mastopexy scarring It is difficult to know without photographs but if I am lifting the breast more than 2 cm, I usually will require a Lollipop type mastopexy. This is because being too large of a periareolar or doughnut mastopexy can flatten the breast significantly. That being said a full and person consultation would be needed to really assess your needs

Answer: Photos would help Hi sgirl4000, A crescent lift by definition won't change the lower border of the areola...it stretches out the areola and allows the top (12 o'clock) position to sit vertically higher. An inch, as you mention, would be a big movement for a crescent lift. There is definitely a balance between minimization of scar, and getting the result that you want. I would definitely suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss. Hope this helps. Answer: Would a crescent breast lift be an option for me? Very hard to answer this question without some photos to base advice on. Generally speaking, a crescent lift is not a good idea, especially with placement of an implant at the same time. The implant is going to create tension on the closure of the nipple and to offload that tension there is going to be stretching of the nipple and that will occur on the side where the crescent excision was done, leading to an oblong result. Early on these tend to look OK, but over time they tend to result in uneven and unsightly scars. In most patients who need only minimal lifting, I would prefer a complete peri-areolar lift with a donut scar but even those have some downsides. Hope this helps! Answer: Crescent lift Without photos or an examination it is difficult to say if this lifting approach would be recommended for you. The crescent lift will give a conservative lift to the breast. I have included a video on this procedure that I hope you find helpful.

Answer: Bellesoma Method or mini lift A crescent lift only lifts the breasts about quarter inch or maybe a half but certainly not an inch. Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs. Many women do not like lifts because of the vertical scars associated with the traditional techniques. For that reason, an alternative was developed called The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. There is also a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
