I got rhinoplasty almost two weeks ago. I understand my nose will be a little swollen for 6 months-year. I'm fine with that since it looks good regardless. But, my upper lip/philtrum is obviously very swollen and heavy. My smile is really awkward. I also understand that this will most likely take anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months to resolve. Is there a way I can speed this up? I have parties and New Years coming up, and would love if my lip was just a little less swollen at least :(!!

It really depends on why the strut is displaced. It may be too long and to one side of the nasal spine for example. It is fairly easy to straighten it under local but the surgeon needs to evaluate the reason for the displacement and correct that also.
You are still relatively fresh out of surgery at 2 weeks. The tip especially can look very swollen at this time. Be positive and give it some time and hopefully what you see is just swelling. FOllow up with your surgeon as planned. Good luck
Thanks for the question. You should be able to flying by 1-2 weeks after your surgery. But this is valid only with assuming postoperative recovery is uneventful. If any unexpected incident happens in your treatment process, this time can be extended or shortened. I wish you all the best.
