This Thursday I'll be 2 weeks post op from my breast augmentation. If I don't engage any upper body, will I be able to to bodyweight squats and certain machines like the leg press with no added weight? I just want to maintain my muscle as much as possible. Also, when can I resume squatting on the smith machine with light weight? Thank you!!

Answer: Post op Thank you kt6792 for your question and congratulations on your procedure. I typically recommend no working out for about 4 weeks after surgery. We want to limit the additional swelling, increasing blood supply going to the area and tension on the incisions. Follow up with your surgeon with any additional questions regarding your post op care.
