Hello! Thank you for your question. This is a very common question so I am glad you asked. If the plastic surgeon is experienced this should not be a problem to combine a tummy tuck, liposuction and a BBL at the same time. I perform this combination almost every day I am in surgery. It is less recovery time to do this at once but again find a board certified plastic surgeon that is experienced. If you are in good health with a BMI close to 30, the tummy tuck and liposuction/BBL combination is safe. Many of my patients only want to go through surgery and recovery one time but realize that recovery can be challenging and uncomfortable. However, there are creative ways to manage the recovery position. Pillows can be placed under the lower back and the posterior thighs and patients can sleep on their backs. Lawn chairs or a cushion with a hole cut out for the buttocks can perform a similar role. My patient coordinator suggests a "mattress" called a holo lilo. It's a swimming pool raft, not a mattress, with a hole cut out in the middle for pregnant ladies to lay on their stomachs. You will lay on your back with your head elevated and your buttocks in the hole of the raft so there's no pressure on them.
Hi, thanks for your question. If you're in good surgical hands and you're a good candidate for all three procedures, yes you can safely get these procedures done at the same time. That said, we typically don't recommend getting a tummy tuck and BBL done simultaneously because the recovery is quite difficult. Following a tummy tuck you can't lie on your stomach and following a BBL you can't put any pressure on your bum for at least two weeks meaning no sleeping on your back, which is why we tend to stick to combination procedures that are focused on the same side of the body. I would recommend a tummy tuck and liposuction as a combination procedure and the BBL as a separate surgery. That said I highly recommend that you book an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in order to assess whether these are the procedures that will give you the result that you hope to achieve. You can also then discuss this and any other concerns you might have.
Dear neicyd2011,I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Excellent question. Yes, it is. Patients have to be healthy obviously, and within a certain BMI limit, but this is one of the most combined procedures in plastic surgery. You can contact a plastic surgeon for an evaluation to see if you qualify. Best of luck,Dr. Miguel Mota
Combining procedures is commonly done and considered safe, but there is a limit. Your surgeon will evaluate if it is safe for you based on your medical history and procedures you are considering. Every case is handled individually. In consideration of these particular procedures you will want to consider comfort during recovery. As there will be surgery performed on the front and back of the body, you will be limited in positioning during recovery.
Great question... In office surgery in the state of Florida the rules/restrictions are ONLY 1 liter lipo (2.2 pounds) with full TT. So lipo is very limited thusly limits BBL to only 500 cc's per buttock cheek. If doing as outpatient over night in hospital operating room the lipo limitation is based upon blood loss, this usually is 3 liters of lipo. Fees from $9,000 in office-$25,000 in hospital....Complications are also much higher occurrence with this combination of surgeries.
If there are no complications from the abortion, six weeks after the abortion may be a reasonable time period to schedule your BR. This depends upon the nature of the abortion, the postoperative course, the point during the pregnancy, the relative weight gain, your psychological well being. This...
Hello, I've had quite a few patients (female and male) get into body building after their tummy tuck, and some have won awards. Bodybuilding should be fine as long as you are fully healed and cleared by your surgeon to resume vigorous activity.
If your asthma is well controlled then you should still be able to have a tummy tuck and liposuction. It's best to visit with the physician you see for your asthma to discuss your interest in these procedures. If given clearance you can then schedule a consultation with a board certified...
