What vitamins are needed to ensure blood work levels are at a great standing before and after surgery (Lipo, tummy tuck and BBL)? Blood builders are taken before surgery? Can heavy menstruation conflict with surgery and/or hemp levels? Vitamin c? Vitamin b complex? Blood builder? Multivitamin?

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative and postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

You will need to ask the plastic surgeon who will be performing your procedures. In my practice, no specific vitamins are recommended. If your lab work indicates that your hemoglobin levels are low, you may need to take iron. I recommend that my patients stop taking Vitamin E the week prior to surgery to prevent bleeding problems. Before and after surgery I recommend a diet high in protein to assist in healing.

Typically following a healthy balanced diet is all you need in order to prepare for surgery.  There are some supplements that may give your body a bit of boost during recovery, but opinions may vary on this.  It is important that you speak with your surgeon about all supplements you take as there are some that should be avoided prior to surgery as they can increase bleeding risk.
