Do they put you under anesthesia for J Plasma abdomen tightening?
Answer: J Plasma -- General or Local Anesthesia I was one of the first to use this for body and this is my opinion. you shhould be asleep for . this. the gas travels through the body and it sometimes causes internal symptoms when awake even with port sites to release the gas. If its a small area its not as big of a deal but a larger area its just easier for everyone but its for sure not necessary. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Renuvion (J-Plasma) does not require general anesthesia My patients choose to have the Renuvion Liposuction precisely because it does not require going under general anesthesia. We use a technique call tumescent anesthesia which means the area we are working on is bathed with a solution of sterile salt water containing an anesthetic to numb the area from the inside. Once the area is numbed, we use a gentle vibration technique called tickle lipo to break up the fat and distribute the anesthetic evenly throughout the area. We then suction out the fat and finally, the Renuvion probe is inserted and the energy applied to achieve skin tightening and further melting of the fat. Most of my patients tolerate this very well with no additional anesthesia. Some request a mild sedative to relieve anxiety and some choose to have a little laughing gas. I think this is a much better way to do liposuction because there is less risk and it allows me to have the patient sit and stand to evaluate the results and then go back and adjust if needed.

Answer: Do they put you under for J Plasma to the abdomen? One body site, the abdomen for example, can certainly be done without general anesthesia. All J-Plasma/Renuvion patients require tumescent solution, a form of local anesthesia. Oral sedation and/or nitrous oxide(dental procedures) can be used as opposed to general anesthesia. In the end, it depends on your personal preference(anxiety level and discomfort threshold), as well as the comfort level of the practitioner who is there to deliver the best possible outcome. He or she MUST be comfortable as well.

Answer: J Plasma anesthesia Thank you for your question. The form of anesthesia is going be very physician dependent. Some physicians perform all of their procedures under general anesthesia, however, the J-Plasma treatment of the abdomen is routinely performed using tumescent anesthesia (a form of local anesthesia) in many offices with mild oral sedation.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
