Painful breast lift incision almost 1 year later, should I be concerned? (Photo)

Im 9 months post op for breast lift. My incision where the T meets is extremely painful to touch. Whenever I touch it, it's a sharp pain that stings. If I hold my breast up it sort of feels like it's pulling on something. Is this pain normal almost a year after surgery?

There are a number of different types of absorbable sutures.  Some begin to absorb within a few months and some don't begin significant weakening for more than 6 months.  Massaging the incision will speed the process and you should ask your surgeon when it is safe to do it.

Thank you for your question. Four weeks out from the scar revision, it is fine to drink alcohol as long as you aren’t taking any prescription pain medication or other medications that could be contraindicated with alcohol. Good luck, and hopefully your scar revision is successful for you.
