Painful breast lift incision almost 1 year later, should I be concerned? (Photo)

Im 9 months post op for breast lift. My incision where the T meets is extremely painful to touch. Whenever I touch it, it's a sharp pain that stings. If I hold my breast up it sort of feels like it's pulling on something. Is this pain normal almost a year after surgery?

You may have a neuroma or sensory nerve ending that is causing this pain.  A scar revision to excise the hypertrophic scar and close it with minimal tension would not only improve the scar but correct the pain.

You might have very tight scar tissue. Sometimes time improves it, sometimes steroids may help it, and sometimes scar revision is beneficial. Best to review options with your surgeon.

Appears as scar contracting in the highest tension point in BL/BR. Or to could be cutaneous sensory nerve pain syndrome. Or a combination of both of them dx. Treatments are more observation, scar revision under local anesthesia, or PIT injection therapy sessions (4 of these sessions of injecting a solution to release the pain @ $500/session). Best to see your operate surgeon or seek in person second opinions from expert PSs in Miami.
