Question

I had the "donut" lift 5 weeks ago, and can still feel the stitches below the skin, they are not painful, just tender. Wondering how long they take to dissolve?

There are a number of different types of absorbable sutures.  Some begin to absorb within a few months and some don't begin significant weakening for more than 6 months.  Massaging the incision will speed the process and you should ask your surgeon when it is safe to do it.

Wow, you look like you have a very nice result!The answer to your question depends on the type of stitches used.  Some stitches like fast absorb gut or Vicryl Rapide dissolve within a week or two.  Other stitches such as Vicryl or Monocryl, a few months and some like PDS,  6 - 9 months.  You should direct your question to your surgeon.  He/she knows what stitches were used.
