Does the use of mesh for breast lift interfere with mammograms?

Question

I am considering a breast lift and the surgeon has recommended the use of mesh. How safe is the use of mesh and how exactly does it absorb into breast tissue. I am also concerned that it may interfere with mammograms. Interested in other opinions.

I generally do not recommend the use of mesh for breast lifts. In experienced hands, there really isn't any evidence that it produces better results. Mesh can cause complications and there is no good data on its effects on mammograms.
