How long do I have to wait before I get a revision or a round 2 BBL done? (Photo)

Question

I had a BBL done on March 13, 2020 but I'm not happy with the right side lump on my stomach. My right side is uneven with the left side. I'm not the one to complain but I notice that. I love my doctor I think he did all that he can with what I had but just messed up on that. I had no shape to be honest and now I have some butt which I didn't have any at all and my waist was actually wider. I just want more contour I'm not sure if I'm a good candidate for round 2 or if I can get a revision.

Having the BBL done a second time is an option as long as the patient has enough fat to be transferred. You will usually need at least 3 months before getting a revision. The revision implies that there is less fat than the first time, and scar tissue will make the surgery much more difficult on the surgeon. The percentage of fat survival in the BBL the second time should be about the same.

Thanks for your question and the photos you provided! What may benefit you most is liposuction to your back, to help give you more of a hour glass shape. if you have already had liposuction  to this area, I would recommend waiting at least 6 months before your board certified plastic surgeon "goes back in". It takes several motnhs (8-12) for result of liposuction/BBL to settle. We generally advise our patient to wait as long as possible since fat grafts quality and availability may not be adequate if revision is done too soon. Good luck.

I say at least six months.  Going in prematurely in tissues that are still inflamed and healing can create additional trauma and inflammation that can potentially lead to a poor aesthetic outcome.  Be careful and be patient.

Results from Liposuction and fat transfer or close to final by three months. I typically recommend patients wait six months before secondary or revision work to allow scar tissue to mature fully.

Continuing stacking more fat with secondary or tertiary procedures can start looking a little unnatural.

Women who have very curvy bodies have skeletal structure that is curvy and supportive of those curves. Simply stacking fat on a straight frame starts looking like what it is.

It looks like your first provider used a fairly aggressive approach perhaps an energy device like VASER?

I think treating the remaining areas of your torso that weren’t treated can leave you with a more natural fat distribution. This includes your upper rib cage right below your breast back and possibly evening out to Liposuction results to some degree.

Correcting poor outcomes from aggressive or over done Liposuction can be difficult and sometimes not possible.
