I also want a BBL revision with possible tummy tuck. I have a dimple above my butt crack that I have been extremely insecure and embarrassed about my whole life I am desperate to get fixed! I assumed getting a BBL would have helped but it didn’t. I also have a longer than usual tail bone - my BBL helped with the pain and numbness I had from my tailbone significantly, for that I'm grateful for. But I want my butt crack finally normal! I am desperately seeking a doctor who can help me with this at least and maybe get a BBL revision.
Answer: BBL revision The dimple can be resolved, but there may be a scar. In regards to a tummy tuck and BBL it is difficult to say if you would benefit from the photos and no consultation. You should consult a board certified plastic surgeon. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon will help you get an accurate recommendation for your procedure and for pricing. Answer: Pilonidal indentation fission excision of a pilonidal indentation can be done but it can be tricky. This is an embryonic development remnant from where your two sides did not fuse properly during . DevelopmentTo correct the contour the area needs to be excised. It cannot be corrected by adding fat or fillers. This will leave a potentially visible scar. To some degree the smaller the scar the less improvement in contour. You may or may not be a good candidate for the secondary BBL or tummy tuck. Your pictures are somewhat insufficient to make an assessment for this.Surgery on midline structures that come from it and embryological origin should be done with the fair amount of caution. these dimples sometimes have a deep tract they can harbor bacteria. It’s not an usual procedure. It’s generally done by general surgeons the plastic surgeons often have insight and experience as well.Excision of Pilonidal cysts or dimples having a higher complication rates for excision call benign lesions or other for straightforward surgery.Nothing wrong with having it excised but being well-informed it seems to make for a better patient experiences.Conceivably your medical insurance could pay for the excision of your pilonidal dimple if it bothers you.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
