I really want to figure out how to fix this. I had a BBL done a year ago. This lump started to appear after the swelling went down. It is soft to the touch and sinks in(disappears) when I lay down. I went to the surgeon who did the BBL and he injected it with a steroid. It went down a little but came right back and a small white dot appeared. I thought it was a seroma so I went to a dermatologists and was told it was not. Please I need some guidance and feel terrible about it.

Answer: Concerns regarding outcome of BBL I suggest you continue to follow up with your plastic surgeon. Something that compresses and goes away with pressure temporarily is not normal. If that’s the case this could be a vascular malformation such as a venous malformation. An examination would certainly help. To diagnose something unusual do you need some type of radiographic study like an ultrasound or potentially MRI. People who have a flat spot on the lower inner pressure point of your buttocks sometimes fail to get projection in this area from the BBL while the surrounding areas expand nicely. It would’ve been better if you posted before and after pictures so we can see what it looks like before your procedure. Regardless I suggest you follow up with your provider. He or she is ultimately responsible for the outcome of your procedure. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD Linea Nova Body Contouring
