Lump one year after BBL. How do I fix this? (Photo)

Hello, thank you for your question. Lumps after BBL could represent fat necrosis. Given that you are a year after surgery, the lump requires an evaluation. The likely treatment would be to excise that block of necrotic fat. Continue to follow up with your board certified PS as the white dot may become less noticeable.

It is difficult to properly answer this question without a physical exam. The light area which appeared after the injection is a known side effect of steroid injection (called hypopigmentation). The lightness will often re-color after several months. If not, you may have a tattoo artist color it in.
The lump is another issue. It might be a lymph node or scar tissue. In the photo it almost looks like excess fat in one area, but if it moves in and out and is firm, does not correlate.

I suggest you continue to follow up with your plastic surgeon.
Something that compresses and goes away with pressure temporarily is not normal.
If that’s the case this could be a vascular malformation such as a venous malformation.
An examination would certainly help. To diagnose something unusual do you need some type of radiographic study like an ultrasound or potentially MRI.

People who have a flat spot on the lower inner pressure point of your buttocks sometimes fail to get projection in this area from the BBL while the surrounding areas expand nicely.
It would’ve been better if you posted before and after pictures so we can see what it looks like before your procedure.
