It varies from patien to patient. Also tightness may be worse for patients who choose a large implant. Usually it starts to feel better by day 3-4.Regards,
Thank you for your question. Everyone is a little different when it comes to this. Some of this depends on the implant size, as well as the laxity of your tissues before surgery. At any rate, the feeling of tightness can last anywhere from days to months; it is certainly common to have this feeling though. Hope that helps -
#Healing will continue for 2-3 months for the early period. This includes some swelling, bruising, malposition, color differences. Sensation may also be abnormal and scars will be evolve. Your doctor may require you to move or #massage the #implants within the breast pockets during the postoperative period. Textured implants do not require breast massage. You will be informed about this at your post-operative visit. If my patients have concerns that their healing or pain are unusual, it is important for them to call the office and discuss these concerns or come in to be examined.
Thank you for your question. Everyone is different, and it partially depends on the size implant that was placed, how tight your skin was, and where the implant was placed as well. I would give it several months at least. It will get better and the tissue will relax. All the best
Thank you for your question. I tell all my patients it takes 4-5 months for implants to fully settle and all your swelling to resolve. Best of luck
Congratulations on your breast augmentation. The tightness patients feel after augmentation usually resolves after a few weeks, very occasionally over a couple of months. The tightness is a result of the interaction of a number of forces including the location of the implant (under or over the muscle), the size of the implant, the amound of skin laxity you are starting with. The one certain thing is that it will resolve. BRK
Particularly if the implants are below the pectoralis muscle tightness of the chest may be experienced for a couple of weeks. The trend should be noticeably favorable from day-to-day.
That really depends on your body build, the tightness of your soft tissue and the size of implants you are using. In general the tight feeling that most patients feel is temporary and is gone after the first week. Having had children with the concomttant swelling and relaxation of the skin helps. Weight gains and losses can also lead to looser skin which will decrease the feeling as well. No matter what the muscle will still have to stretcha and accommodate the implant.Best of LuckDr. J
Following breast augmentation, women often will say during the immediate postoperative time that the breasts feel type, especially if sub muscular augmentation has been performed. This is normal. There are many factors that determine how tight it feels. If one has tight overlying skin with small breasts, often this feeling will last longer than the woman with looser skin, perhaps from having children in the past, and other factors including the condition of the muscle and maneuvers that have been made to the muscle during the surgery. In general, this feeling subsides every day and is not usually a concern for most women.
Thank you for your question. The recovery after breast augmentation (BA) surgery varies widely from patient to patient as well as their level of discomfort during this time. There may be some feelings of muscle spasm after surgery, but these are usually temporary-a couple to a few weeks but may be longer. It is bestto discuss with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon his/her specificrecommendations as far as return to activity. The recovery after BA surgeryvaries widely from patient to patient as well as their level of discomfortduring this time. Generally, the first 4-7 days are reserved for rest andoverall recovery, and after that patients can slowly work their way back withgradual low risk activities. I prefer to wait at least 6-8 weeks forrepetitive upper body lifting/movements and arm use so that the muscles, skin incisions and breast tissues have had adequate time to heal andsettle before being stressed. The recovery routine will best be determinedby your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon so be sure to touch base with him/heron their specific recommendations before and after your surgery.Benjamin J. I tell my patients to limit the use of their upper extremities for the first week post sub muscular breast aug and then to increase use slowly afterward for the next 3 weeks to give the muscle time to heal. I have seen bleeding in the pocket 2 weeks after a breast aug when the patient got too...
Hello! Thank you for your question! You are still early post-procedure. Your appearance looks typical at this stage and will continue to improve as the swelling subsides and the implants continue to settle into their desired position. This usually proceeds over the next several weeks as the...
It is safer to wait a few months after breast augmentation to get a tattoo. Getting one three weeks before could cause issues with infection, but that risk is small.
