Is it okay for me to get a tattoo before my BA?

My BA is scheduled for March 18th, I was wanting to get a small tattoo this weekend, but my PS isn't open this weekend to call and ask. If I did get a tattoo, will that affect my surgery? It would be on my arm or thigh, not anywhere near my chest.
