Hi Garciagettingbetter, I am sorry to hear about what you are experiencing. You should visit your plastic surgeon right away for proper assessment and intervention. Thank you for your question. You need to contact your Plastic Surgeon ASAP. Your implant will have to come out completely for 3 months and then replaced. Best of luck to you.
Dear Garciagettingbetter,Implant exposure is an urgent matter and you should see your plastic surgeon immediately. The wound will likely not heal on its own and you may need to have the implant removed totally. It is important to make sure it is cared for properly to ensure that your wound does not become larger and you minimize any infection risk due to the implant exposure.Good luck,Dr. Chang
Unfortunately now that this breast implant has become exposed, it is contaminated with bacteria and must be removed. The implant should not replaced for at least 3 months or more depending on several variables.
Implant needs to be removed ASAP I would leave it out , and allow healing 3-4 months before replacing. I do not use textured implants.Good luck,
This needs complete removal and 3 months to heal before re insert NEW implant. See your surgeon ASAP. If not locally done you will need to contact implant company for warranty funds and use local boarded PS. Why textured implants??
You need to contact your Plastic Surgeon immediately and be aware that the best advice is to remove the implant ASAP. This opening will not close on its own, nor should you believe that you can have this sutured closed! Once the implant is removed, the pocket and the implant should be cultured for bacteria, the pocket thoroughly irrigated during the surgery, possibly a drain used to be sure the breast pocket will empty fully of old blood, and no implant should be replaced for at least 3-6 months. At that time you will need to discuss with your Plastic Surgeon as to why you may have developed the hematoma, whether the implant( or implants) need to be replaced with smaller implants, and do you remain with textured or switch to smooth implants.Good luck to you!Frank Rieger M.D. Tampa Plastic Surgeon
Hello Difficult to say without photos, exam and thorough discussion of goals / expectations from surgery. The implant width could be a bit wide for someone with those stated measurements. Additionally, I try to avoid crescentic "lifts" as they tend to distort the...
Hello Fortunately there is still time for the implant to settle. For my submuscular augmentation patients, I will consider implant displacement maneuvers and/or an implant strap to assist in this process. Be patient, and discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. Good luck...
Thank you for your question. Submuscular placed implants will not prevent you from partaking in weight lifting and/or muscle/body building activities, but some patients will elect for subglandular placed implants instead so as to avoid the higher risk for animation deformities that can o...
