Hi, thank you for your question. In general, to determine if you are a healthy candidate for cosmetic surgery and especially large volume liposuction, your plastic surgeon will discuss laboratory studies with your primary doctor. Commenting on particular number taken out of context may not be in your best interest. Depending on the extent of surgery, or liposuction in this case, you may need your Hgb & RDW to be optimized further.Always consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon before undergoing surgery. Good luck in achieving your aesthetic goals!
bryson15. All of your blood work up should be evaluated by your operating surgeon and your medical doctor if needed. Generally speaking, hemoglobin of 12.5 is within normal limits. Discuss our concerns with your board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
Always best to ask your chosen operative surgeon their opinion. We are RS responders and you can not follow our advise if you are a safe surgical candidate. But in my private practice an Hb of 12.6 is very acceptable for me to operate....
Good Morning,Your hemoglobin is slightly low so some caution is warranted. Your surgeon should use a tumescent type of liposuction to minimize blood loss. You should also discuss with your surgeon about maybe limiting to total volume removed to a reasonable amount of fat, in order to limit blood loss and avoid a transfusion later on. For example, your doc may be able to tell you that 3 liters of fat or 6 liters of fat could be safely removed with minimal impact on your blood level. This may mean you won't be able to lipo all the spots you want to hit at once, and may need to more safely separate out your lipo surgeries a few weeks apart, allowing your blood level to normalize between treatments. Adding iron and vitamin C to your diet couldn't hurt either.Best wishes.

I recommend following up with your Doctor about your concerns. It is too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease ...
Thank you for your pictures and questions. Sorry to hear you are having trouble. I would recommend being fairly aggressive with seromas because once they become chronic, they are very hard to deal with. This is why I prefer using drains and avoiding them all together. I would caution you ...
I suggest starting RF treatments like Venus legacy, Inmode forma, or BTL Exilis along with shock therapy like Cellutone, z wave, revive or Cellutone. Oral Neurontin can also help. This is normal for months after liposuction as you are healing. Massage can also help. Best, Dr. Emer.
Lumps and bumps are not normal after any liposuction. If you are unhappy with your results please speak to your physician and ensure he was a full body VASER HD liposuction physician with expensive experience in body shaping and not just traditional fat reduction. At this point you should be...
You need to contact your doctor and ask them. If you are just have sedation I cannot imagine it making a difference. If you are going to sleep you might want to wait.
