Is it normal to hear my heartbeat in my ears after tummy tuck?

Question

I am home now on recovery from a TT taking oxycodone for pain management but I find myself hearing my heartbeat through my left ear. I read the pamphlet in meds and I don't see anything about it is this a bad sign? Just wondering if this is normal or if I need to call my dr. On Monday any help would be great thank you.

Hello. It sounds like the pain pills are giving you some strange symptoms, but these do not sound worrisome. The oxycodone affects people differently-- some are sleepy, some more hyper and some itchy! I would try to go off them during the day and just take advil if you can-- and your symptoms should clear up.Good luck.

You needed to call Dr Rothfield ASAP to be seen. Your blood pressure might be elevated? But over the internet we can not diagnose this issues only in person examination can help..
