I'm 46 and although I still have scar my skin looks good. I had a co2 laser done 20 years ago and this also helped keep my skin youthful. However the scar indentions are so upsetting although over the years I have learned to move on. Now I want to refresh my skin (plump up, texture ...) Is halo worth my money?
Answer: It certainly can help It’s hard to say exactly how much halo can help. Halo is a tuneable laser that can be set to parameters that can help acne scarring, but it has its limits. The deeper scars some patients have are more difficult with halo and often need combination treatments. Often combination treatments are needed. As we age, volume loss in the cheeks can exaggerate the appearance of scars and fillers can help. PRP, microneedling and in some cases excision is needed. Please be sure to see a cosmetic dermatologist to evaluate your specific needs.

Answer: Acne scars and HALO HALO improves skin texture and HALO pro can go deeper than HALO to help with scarring. TRL laser which is part of the same Sciton Joule platform can go deeper, more like CO2 if you need deeper resurfacing of acne scars. It has less heat and therefore less tissue damage than CO2. You would be a candidate for TRL to spot treat the deep scars, then HALO to smooth it all over.

Answer: Halo will improve your acne scars with much less risks than other resurfacing lasers Hello, Thanks for your questions. Halo resurfacing laser will definitely help your concerns, acne scars, with much less down time and less risks than other resurfacing lasers. But you may need a few treatments depending on your scars and expectations. Regardless your goal should be "improvement", not the "correction" like any other laser treatments and procedures. Halo laser also will help overall skin rejuvenation improving your textures, fine wrinkles, pores, and brown pigmentation, etc. I do recommend you to see a dermatologist for complete evaluations. Dr. Kevin Belasco

Answer: Halo can help, shouldn't hurt I think if you get evaluated and treated by a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist, you should benefit from at least one if not 2 Halo treatments (unless you have very dark skin tone which does risk hyperpigmentation.) I tell my patients with deep acne scars that it would likely not completely resolve it, but it can certainly help. Even if it didn't help the acne scars specifically, I have really loved how it rejuvenates my patient's skin. Good luck.

Answer: Acne Scars on Cheeks and Chin Thank you for your question. Halo may be able to help diminish the appearance of your acne scars, but in my opinion, Viva is a much better option. It targets texture more than Halo. Dermal fillers may be another good option for you. The effects are immediate and I have achieved some life-changing results this way. Be sure to see a reputable provider that has multiple options available for you and set up a consultation to get an accurate assessment and recommendation. Best of luck to you!
