I am a surfer and don’t apply sunscreens. I had pre cancerous spots all over my face and had halo laser resurfacing done with Christine Belasco. I am very pleased with the results and don’t have to freeze so many spots.
I had Halo and BBL laser treatments with Christine Belasco, nurse practitioner a month ago. I am very satisfied with results. I get lots of compliments about glowing and clear my skin of the face. Christine was very knowledgeable, through, assuring, and caring from initial consultation to procedures. The costs were very competitive which it was very helpful. More than $500 less cost for Halo laser treatment than the other dermatology and plastic surgery offices near me. I am glad I pursued laser treatments with Christine. Updated on 1 Mar 2025: Had halo laser treatment and I am very happy with the results. Wrinkles around eyes made me look old but they diminished with halo laser treatment. Also skin textures and pores are much improved. I highly recommend Dr. Belasco.
Had a great results with BBL hair removals on my hairy back. After the first treatment, about 70% hair was gone. After 2nd treatment, about 90% was gone. I have gained confidence to take off my shirt at the beach this summer.
Had Halo with BBL done to remodel:-) my old skins. I am very satisfied with the results and entire experience! I had much less down time than other resurfacing lasers with better results. I will never do other laser procedures other than Halo. Christine Belasco, nurse practitioner, was great to work with. She does not push people to do laser treatments, rather is very informative and supportive for me to choose right procedures within my financial and emotional needs. She is very patient to hear my concerns and questions.
It is a true pleasure to attend an appointment at Blue Harbor Dermatology. Doctor Belasco is a very experienced and caring surgeon. His staff works hard to make sure I am comfortable and at ease, and without a long wait. I highly recommend Dr. Belasco and his staff for any dermatology needs you may have.
Always I wanted to have clean and smooth skin face. So I have been covering my acne scars, white heads and pores with make up, which made my skin worst. Then I decided to visit Blue Harbor Dermatology and had consultation with Christine Belasco, nurse practitioner. She suggested halo which is laser treatments to improve my skin texture and remove acne scars and white heads. The laser treatment was not painful as I thought and Christine was really careful to not miss any spot from the face. The numb cream before treatment and ice pack after treatment saved me a lot from the laser treatment. I cannot wait to how my face will be change after one week.
Hello, Thanks for your questions. Halo resurfacing laser will definitely help your concerns, acne scars, with much less down time and less risks than other resurfacing lasers. But you may need a few treatments depending on your scars and expectations. Regardless your goal should be "improvement", not the "correction" like any other laser treatments and procedures. Halo laser also will help overall skin rejuvenation improving your textures, fine wrinkles, pores, and brown pigmentation, etc. I do recommend you to see a dermatologist for complete evaluations. Dr. Kevin Belasco

Hello, Thanks for your questions. First of all, sun protection and avoiding any irritation on skin is most important for melasma. Melasma is not easy to treat but rather you need to choose right laser treatments as well as topical therapy. You may avoid IPL or any light treatments which will make your melasma worse. Halo Hybrid Skin Resurfacing Laser proved as a safe and effective treatment for melasma. Halo laser skin resurfacing with right settings will improve your melasma, enlarged pores, fine wrinkles, and skin textures. The recommended melasma treatments at our clinic are a few Halo treatments every 4-6 weeks and use RX HQ between the treatments as well as sun protection. I encourage you to see a dermatologist for consultation. Best, Dr. Kevin Belasco
Hello, Thanks for your questions. There are many different kinds of chemical peels, including Mandelic acid, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, pyruvic acid, TCA, etc. The options can be according to your skin type and concerns, such as Rosacea, pigmentation, acne, skin rejuvenation, etc. If your concern is freckles, IPL or BBL light treatments will be more effective than chemical peel. I do recommend you to see a dermatologist for consultation. Best, Dr. Kevin Belasco
Hello, Thanks for your sharing your concerns. There is no complete cure for melasma, but instead we can improve it as much as we can and make it under control. Sun protection is the most important treatment and prevention for melasma. We can also improve the melasma with Halo skin resurfacing laser which has outstanding clinical effectiveness and safety. You may need a few halo laser treatments . Many lasers can make the melasma worse so please choose any laser procedures very carefully. The HQ 4/8% prior to the laser treatments will be beneficial as well as using non HQ skin brightening cream as a maintenance after the laser procedures. Thanks, Dr. Kevin Belasco
